I really dont think or debate about abortion except when I see conservatives making such a big deal (especially on yahoo answers), so this question is directed at ProLifers: If someone is ProChoice does that make them a bad person?
There are Police Officers, Firefighters, Doctors, Therapists, etc who are ProChoice and that doesn't stop them from doing good things, so seriously does being ProChoice make you a bad person?

I don't think it makes you a "bad" person to agree with abortion up to a certain point.
(Say within the ethical limits of the first trimester).
I think many people are very ignorant of abortion procedure and fetal development,
so "they know not what they do" would apply.

However, the fanatics on the choice side (usually proabortion industry cronies) who agree with abortion all the way up to the due date of the baby are so blinded by their politics, they can't see the ethical implications at all.
Because of this, yes, to some extent, these people are "bad".
Anyone who is that blinded by ideology, especially when the life of a human being is in the balance--and they don't care how they are killed or if they feel pain--they are potentially dangerous people.
They are also bald faced liars and they know it....preying on the ignorance of the general public.
So, yes, they are bad.

I also think abortionists are very evil people who do some seriously cruel and sickening things, they see literal horror every day (mostly if they practice in killing the unborn baby up to almost 8 months of pregancy and sometimes beyond)
and it doesn't affect them in the least.
For these people without conscience, yes, they are "bad" people.
Can you imagine being personally responsible for taking the lives of hundreds, even thousands of humans over the course of your life?

Not at all. Prochoice has nothing to do with abortions, and everything to do with free will. It's about people demonstrating self-determination in how they are going to live their lives. This is much better than the real murderers who bomb abortion clinics and murder doctors. Why is it that you call it murder when it's a fetus completely incapable of even breathing for itself, but you call the exploitation and deaths of millions foreign policy? I support my friends who decide to keep their children as much as i support my friends who decide to abort their fetuses. Prochoice cares about people, and not just about proselytizing silly belief systems.

i think you are completely missing the point. i dont pretend to know who is a good or bad person. that's not for me to judge. you're completely ignoring the fact that we think life is valuable at all stages, and turning the subject into how pro-lifer feel personally about all pro-choicers. what does that matter?

the point is that although i have plenty of pro-choice friends, i will always disagree with them on the issue of human life. i think it should be valued at every stage, more than anything.

Is Laura Bush a bad person? Is Colin Powell a bad person? How about Rudy Guiliani?

They are all pro-choice.

No, it doesn't. I am pro life but I don't think all pro choice people are bad, most have never or will ever have an abortion. Pro choice does not mean pro abortion.

not bad, just misguided. I'm actually very liberal and while i don't understand how people can be pro choice, I respect that they have that right.
