Ok, so you know how some people say
gay people are born gay???

Well when ever someone goes into prison straight,
then comes out gay...what's up with that??

So what do you think,
do people choose to be gay...or they are born gay??

I dont have anything against gay people or anything,
im just trying to understand...

So if you want you can leave your opinion
or say anything I should know...

Sexual behavior is learned. People are not born homosexual any more than people are born heterosexual. Homosexuality isn't wrong, in my opinion. I am simply saying that no one is BORN homosexual. There is no conclusive scientific evidence that sexuality is inborn. Science actually confirms just how COMPLEX human behavior is more so than isolating the causes of it. This doesn't mean that it's a conscious choice. Sexuality ISN'T a conscious choice. Various factors determine whether or not someone becomes heterosexual, bi-sexual, or homosexual. But it isn't something inborn either. Even the gay and pro-gay press acknowledges the problems with the "born gay" argument.

The "born gay" argument does absolutely NOTHING for us by way of fighting for homosexual rights, because there can be no proof where proof doesn't exist. (Just thought I'd cross that bridge before someone else gets to it.) We should be focusing on our rights to do as we please rather than trying to construct an argument made from nothing more than speculation and limited research.

To answer the other part of your question- People who go to jail/prison as heterosexuals do NOT "turn" homosexual. They are simply, to put it bluntly, getting their rocks off in whatever way that's available to them.

I don't know that anyone in prison ever admits to being gay while there for fear of rape. And I kinda have the jaded opinion that all a man needs to have sex is an opportunity. I'm still not buying the prison made them gay theory.

Some people are born gay and others choose it because they like variety in their lifestyles. Homosexuality is a complicated issue that doesn't have one single answer that sums it up for everyone that is homosexual as we are all individuals and everyone is different. As for people going into prison straight and coming out gay, that is an entirely different issue and not everyone who goes to prison who is straight comes out gay. If you are old enough, then you already know what happens to some people in prison; if you're not old enough, then perhaps you should ask your parents to explain it to you.

People in prisons do not "turn gay". It is human nature for all living things to want and crave attention. The only other people in prison with them happen to be those of the same gender. They lean on each other for comfort, support and sexual attention. When they get out of prison, most of them go back to their families and those of the opposite sex.

Sweety, I commend you for trying to get familiar with the unfamiliar but whats up with the prison gay statement?

Do you actually know someone who that happened to or did you just hear about it on TV?

People are born gay. They are not "transformed" in some way..... they are not "convinced" to be gay.... they are not "recruited" to be gay..... and just because some people experienced the trauma of being sexually abuse.... doesn't mean that turned them gay.

The Bottom Line: PEOPLE ARE BORN GAY
(live it, learn it, breathe it)

ok ok some people choose to be "gay" but the real gays know they are gay at the age of 5 even 4 in some cases...... So maybe this will help you quit questioning people and just let them be who they are.

I don't think it's a question of choice. I myself knew I was gay since I was about 6. But that's another story. Think about this, the guys in prision, for whatever reason they are in there for, also crave some tenderness, or love or some human contact and the only one they have is another male. So it's understandable that after a certain time since that is all you know it becomes nature to that person and therefore it's easier to feel for another male. That is my opinion.

Not all people that come out of jail turn gay & every GLBT are born GLBT you can not just turn that way, if some one goes to prison & come sout gay it just means that what ever happened to them while they were locked up, helped them to come out of the closet & not live in denial anymore. Alot of GLBT live in denial, in hetrosexual relationships as they believe that it is wrong tp like the same sex, so they try to hide it until they eventually come out. some people do not come out

People who are confined in a prison do not have an outlet for sex in the way of the opposite gender. Therefore that latent part of all of us that we have kept suppressed usually surfaces and we have sexual relationships with those of our own sex. This, by the way, is also true of sailors on board ship at sea for long periods of time.

But this is usually a temporary situation and normal sexuality returns when they are are no longer in a closed society and back in the normal population.
