I used to just let the computer shut down (hibernate) by itself. However, now I have a laptop which has Vista and I am on wireless Internet; if I leave it on and don't use it, I usually have to restart anyway to get my Internet connection to work.

I usually leave it on during the day because I am off & on so many times, but I do shut it down every night and when I am away from home! I guess the poor thing needs a rest every now & then too! lol =D

I give it a rest and shut it down sometimes. Once in a while I need to reboot it because it starts running slow.

most the time i leave the pc on 24/7 but if its running slow ill shut it down overnight

mine is on 24/7/365 (unless I will be gone for several days or on vacation)

i usually shut it down after i'm done using it, but i leave it on when i charge my ipod. otherwise, my comp is on standby or hibernation mode.

i know i am suppose to turn off my laptop ..but i usually leave it on..
shame on me!!
but i turn it off for like 2 hours the whole day...
