It depends on what lizard you want, some can be very difficult so you should fully research into the on your going to get before you get it, so you know wether your capable of looking after if properly. Its best to get an easy one to start with, so ask a repile specialist, not a pet store as they usually dont know enough about reptiles make sure you get it from someone who knows what there doing.

Check out the reptile forums at this site and read about the many species of lizard. They all require different care regarding temperature, lighting, UVB, substrate, water, feeding, etc.

Wow, that's vague. There are over 4675 species of lizards, all with specific husbandry needs.

depending on the type you have .mine eats crickets but you only give them one at a time because they wont eat them if they are dead.
