When I was working on my MA in History I took an ED grad class called "The History of Education." I my final exam for the course I received an A for the test and an A for the course. My professor didn't think that was enough though and he wrote under my A for the paper - "This Paper is not Ph D material." Thank god it was a master's level course I only took as an elective. Since I couldn't get a grade higher than an A and among my friends who took the course with me (as a far as I knew among the other students) I was one of only three people who got a solid A. Well that is my strangest comment.

Good Luck!!!

A teacher? I don't really remember. I write for the newspaper so I know what the drill is on writing essays. Probably "come see me" or "what are you talking about".

Our papers are edited / revised by the editors of their pages. So a couple of high school kids and things can get interesting.

Things I've had written on mine:

-WTF?!?!
-Snooze. I could not read beyond this point.
-This is boring.
-What the f**k!!!!!!!! (written out)

I'll tell you what from the point I got all those I never wrote like that again..

Seabiscuit guys wins....hands down...i'm still laughing...hehe.

I had a professor accuse me of cheating saying my paper was very similar to this other girl's, and I didn't work on it with her at all. Later it turns out, we were the only two History majors in the class and just happened to take similar approaches. I was very offended though and let the prof know as much. I got an A in the class though, and I was expecting a B.

In college, we were asked to write an essay on "something you tried doing for the first time". I tried cross-stitching and wrote about that, saying that I got all the yarns confused coz the colors all looks the same. When I got it back after checking, I saw that my very-much-male professor wrote, "Yeah, me too! I always mix up the greens and blues". I nearly died laughing. I'm still imagining him hunkered up and cross-stitching. ^_^

My sons took the cake, he was suppose to write an essay on why he was writing this essay. He simply wrote: I'm not writing this essay because I've got better things to do, and already have an A in the class. He turned it in and got an A, she said yeah you do and that was quite original. We got a good laugh, he got a good grade. The boy rocked!

Actually in our language arts class(when I was in 7th grade, now I'm going into HS) we played this note passing game. To practice our "writing skills" My teacher sent me a note... it said. Kristin is an amazing student and will do anything to get an A. She demonstrates the ability to one day become a great in the field of con-artistry. He continued the note, but I don't have the original copy. lol. I was actually proud of that note. I have a job opportunity!

In second semester calculus, the proffessor assigned a problem that she did not realize would take so much computation to solve. No one finished the problem. She gave me full credit though. She said that I was on the right track, and besides, that was the most algebra she had ever seen me do without making a mistake.
