There's a drug being researched called CX717 that, if it ever gains approval of the FDA, would make that a reality.
Thoughts?

My employer would love it, I'm sure.

Yes! Hell, yes! Youbetcha! Uh-huh! (Who gives a rats-*** about employers?!) My whole life is geared to staying awake. What do you bet this one never sees the "light-of-day"?

Hell no! I need my beauty sleep and I loooove to sleep. But if there is a pill that could let me SLEEP for 36 hours, then I would look into it. I need more rest than I need to stay awake.

Maybe, just to get everything done at home that needs to be done. How long would you sleep for afterwards? I would want to be able to sleep like usual, not be out for 36 hrs at a time.

i guess that if i had something worthwhile to occupy that 36 hours. i might consider it. when i was in college, it would've been great during finals. when i was a wild child, it would've been great period. but just to stay up because i'm able to seems like a waste of good rem sleep

I would not take it, and I doubt that the FDA would approve such a drug. It has to have side effects.

I dont think I would... We are made to need sleep, and, if it had NO side effects and I would be tired during the night after it wore off- then I would TRY it...

No, I wouldn't, I think if I needed to I would be able to stay awake for that long without any medication.
