I am 66 and yes they brought them home to us
but after while the laws changed and we were not allowed to do different types of punishment so the younger generation got the attitude of no one cares

one time a little girl got a spanking by her mom and she said oh thank you mom I did not think you loved me at all

Well, I guess I was lucky my dad died when I was young or he'd have killed me. I got to know a few of the Police on a first name basis but then you always called them sir.

I was brought home a number of times and eventually arrested a couple of times. After that, I decided to join them and retired about 4 years ago from our department.

I think I joined because they were all kinda father figures back then and my mom never re-married. I regret being such a pain to my mom and have for years. I worked with some of the same guys that arrested me. They are in their 70's now and I'm in my mid 50's. Still play cards with some of them.

Let me say that, as a kid, if the police brought me home, trust me, my troubles were just starting. NO ONE defended my actions, no one brougth law suits against the police department, and no one gave me any sympathy what so ever...what I got was severe restrictions for about one month. Trust me, we never trangled with the police! And if a teacher called the house, OMG! Hang it up, my world had ended for another month. Yes, those were the days! I took no drugs to contrl attention disorder..if I didn't pay attention in class, there were other ways to handle it. I was expected to bring home Straight A's, period! If I didn't, the old, "my teacher doesn't like me" crap went no where! Funny how we live up to what is expected of us. I had an easy, great teenage hood...but believe me, it was within bounds! And if I were caught Drinking....well, let's just say I wasn't...that one I never wanted to find out about.

I didn't get in trouble with the police, but I do remember safer streets. You're 30 and remember safer streets?

Yes, I do remember those days. Unfortunately, the children today deem radicalism as a way of life. So, things had to change.

I am 52.

I'm 53. I remember when you got caught doing something, like taking a pop off of a truck that the driver beat you up, and when you got home you got it again. It was swift and fair justice.

The cops always just told my daughter, "Go home! And be careful who you hang around with from now on!" They all knew her and me...

My daughter is 30 and I am 53.

i remeber when everybody in the neighborhood took delight in telling on the kids to their parents.

i am 55 and spanked, i beleive in spanking a child but no I DO NOT BELEIVE IN ABUSING A CHILD you can spank and not hurt the child, just get their attention.
