Well, lets see.
There is no , yes not at all any difference in between Acoustic and Electric Guitar, ofcourse from theoritical point of view.

Guitar Chords, Keys, and all that comes under theory is same and played in the same way on both.

But the only difference is that Electric is much more suitable for techniques.
Ex. You can perform 1and1/2 step bends on Elec-guitar without much effort. But on Acoustic you need to be a super-man to perform a 1 step bend.

When speaking in depth about chords, the shapes are same on both, but several tough chords are hard on acoutic because of greater width of the fretboard. And easier on Electric Guitar because of compact Fretboard.

Never think that what you've learned on Acous-Guitar would be lost when changing to electric. But its actually progressing you playing when changing from Acous-Guitar to Elec-Guitar.

But also , if you prefer Acoustic , stick to it.
Some people find there own style in Acoutic rythms and love its natural occuring sound.

other than being electric, the only playing difference is that the neck has more (playable) frets. Electric standard is 21 or 24 frets, Acoustic is 12 or 14.
