it's possible, many (or most) americans don't know how huge america's debt is, the dollar rate is falling and countries like china is rising, i mean, look at the medicare programs and all that stuff, we think that this country is still that unbelivably strong but the truth is we have alot of problems, if you're a government elected official or government employed person then you must have alot of knowledge about these things which an average american doesn't know, but i doubt that USA would fall easilly, based on the experiences this country had, they can manage to do it but depression is still a possible huge threat in today's america

There will never be another depression because politicians will never admit to it. We will be a 3rd world country within 10yrs, I predict. I can drive through parts of my city right now and it almost looks like the scenes you see in the movies of the empoverished areas a Calcuta, or a small Mexican Village.

No, but as the conflict with Islamofascism escalates over the next decade or two, life in the West will become less affluent. When the conflict is over, expect a rise in prosperity.

I seriously doubt it. I don't know if you've been paying attention, but our stock market has been at record highs for the past few weeks. It is only recently that it has dropped again (down to normal level.)
The panic mongerers at Bloomberg cause more problems than they prevent.

from this side of the atlantic, analysists are predicting (a few months ago) that it's only a matter of time before the US economy will buckle under it's own debt (currently about 7.5 trillion when i read the article about half of GNP i think)
do you want to lend a fiver?

what this nation needs is another depression, unfortunately it will only happen if the government outlaws credit cards and they haven't got the guts to to something that radical to save the economy.
