Good Question..... I feel like we all should do more but its hard to convince people in todays world. Most people dont care they just want cheep fuel for there cars. It sad but big changes probally wont take place until there are even more drastic problems that will force them to follow the path of change. I cant say that i do much to help stop global warming myself but i would like to do more.

I think that some people do try to help out by recycling and being more energy conscious and I do think Global Warming is becoming a problem. I can't stop it from happening but I try to slow down the effects, (Like the ice caps melting up north and the Rising Temperatures) by being more "green" in a way. I use energy saving light bulbs, recycle, use public transportation or walk/bike to where I need to go. I think if more people made some sort of contribution to help the Global Warming process would be more tolerable.

you won't have much success stopping it without knowing what started it. here is the logic provided by science.
1. temperatures getting hotter
2. CO2 getting higher
Therefore is is proven, higher CO2 caused the warming. While CO2 has a positive corelation with warming this is hardly proof of cause and effect. There are many thousands of factors that have the same or even better corelation with warming, including the number of dead ancestors. so if people stop dying will the heat go away??
considering we can't predict with any assurance what local temperatures will be a week in advance, what precision climate model tells us what the temperature will be in a hundred years?
one reason that people want to believe that CO2 tipped the climate is because they want it to be a factor caused by man. so if people just stop the CO2 output will the effect will go away? While most everyone (including me) is uncomfortable with the current level of CO2 production, no one can say that changing will have any kind of control on the warming. In fact, high CO2 production could be actually SLOWING the rate of heating and has protected us from having a catastrophy decades ago. The geologic evidence is that high CO2 actually goes with iceage occurances. An iceage is apt to be more disruptive to civilization than global warming.

I work in the same city I live in. I am actually able to walk to work each morning and walk back home at night. I consider that to be a very good thing, even if I do own a Honda Civic.
I am a also a vegetarian. The amount of resources used to feed animals, could be used to feed starving people in the world. I also don't like how the animals are raised and killed. If they had better lives I might start eating meat again, but its a sad life for them. KFC has issues with raising chickens. sick employees working in the farms.
I try not to buy any water from cans or plastics. When I go hiking, I fill up my Canteens.
I don't like to recycle. It's sort of the lower end economy of the poor people who can use the cans for money. I think people who recycle in big cities are not supporting the homeless to do an honest days work.
I try not to waste electricity at home. I try not to throw food away. If i can buy something with a rechargeable battery I do.
I think I am doing enough for the envirement considering how much more everyone else is wasteful.

stop using game boys
stop driving cars
stop watching TV
stop using most energy forms
Like any of that is going to happen without it being forced down peoples throats.
Need to delevop more renewable energy sourses, stop human pop growth, slow down development until renewable energy sources are developed, and recycle recycle recycle
and stop using so much energy

I think it is just an earth cycle or effect by out of our solar system because I think the end of the ice age prove it all. All of a sudden of thousand years, end of an ice age and there are don't have anything that cause ice to melt like chemical we are using today.

Cattbarf made me want to puke. I would try to stop the rainforest disaster. Also this throw away society. It's a futile effort I fear, we are outnumbered.

Take the ice cubes that are left from my drinks and toss them outside to melt. Recycle newspapers and sell carbon credits to unsuspecting environmentalists.
