What do you think the next life and earth altering event will be that happens in our lifetime?

Think it will be a meteorite? Nuclear war? Natural Disasters etc...?

I put my money on 2 things and those two things have 1 name CHINA. Nothing against our chinese comrades. What is happening is that china is developing really fast. They are in the way of becoming the next superpower. There are drawbacks to this. If the chinese start behaving like us Americans then they will start suning great amount of resources. They just have too many people so I see scarse resources around the world. One major one is fuel. If every chinese has an SUV imagine how the price of fuel will skyrocket because there is only so much fuel to go around. Same with other resourses. It can create another world war where all the countries are fighting over who control which resources.

Scenario two is that China keeps undercutting bussineses. You see the normal trading practice is to be competitive. Lets say I sell a widget for $10 then you can say you'll sell it for $9.75. I then try to outbest you and sell it for $9. You then sell it for 8.50. At this point I say I cannot go as low as $8.50 but I can go as low as $8.75 but, What I'll do is offer some insentive like better quality reliability or what not. So in the end it is competitive. China works different. You start off the bid for a widget at $10. Well china comes in and says it will sell a similar item for $0.50 cents. I mean its outrageous. The production cost of the widget for you and me will be around $5 so we can't even begging to compete. Over time none will be making money except china. So, we decide not to buy from china. Now china begings to suffer so they say the hell with it we are going to war. Again another war war.

Everyone is always talking about stupid global warning and how that will end the earth, i think thats stupid and people need to stop making excuses just becaus they're hot and it happens to be summer. If i had to say the next earth altering event, it would probably be some kind of bomb. Not necessarily on America, and not necessarily a nuke (maybe a dirty bomb or something), but i really think something is gonna happen cuz its not that hard to get any kind of bomb that can cause destruction.

If not that, id say some kind of suicide bomber that threatens an airliner but i i guess thats not world changing.

Probably political. The world will be merged into one giant Superstate with a One World Government. Bush will find a way to become dictator of it and get the people's respect by perfoming miracles. Dick will use this as an excuse to begin a new religion based on the worship of Bush. Everyone will be forced to get Haliburton brand microchips inbedded in their foreheads or right hand. All who refuse will be thrown into Death Camps where a guillotine will cut off their heads. Powerful 12 foot tall angels will intervene and Jesus will come back and kill all the bad guys and a whole new era shall begin.

I tend to think it will be something we as Earthlings can't control like an asteroid or a meteorite that can't be zapped out of the way. Hope it doesn't happen in my lifetime or my childrens for that matter.

I really hope it will be something that benefits mankind not destroys mankind.

it would take the second coming of Christ to significantly alter earth, and boys and girls, that's total destruction. Given the fact that we now know what could bring on Armageddon, that event could very well happen in our lifetime.
