I read someone say math is evil, has anyone hear this? Where did this come from?

the only reference to math and evil that i've ever heard of is this:

when i was in high school math, my teacher explained to us an equation that when graphed made a spiral that was ever expanding in one direction and diminishing in the other. he said that scientists have found that this equation can be applied to all living things and they are equal (i'm not exactly sure what that means, but it made sense at the time)

BUT

when you do the inverse of this equation, it is equal to 666 and when graphed it makes a pentagram.

he said that thousands of years ago, some philosophers figured this out, and that is where we get the number 666 being related to the devil and evil, along with the pentagram.

It was in an earlier question (mere minutes ago) where someone is trying to convince us that math leads to atheism.

It is, of course, wrong.

It is someone who saw too many recent movies where mathematicians are shown as going mad (when, in reality, they don't -- at least not more than the average population, and maybe a bit less).

Revenge will probable no longer make you experience any further acceptable. additionally, in case you do something significant, you ought to get into extreme criminal hardship. while i became youthful and truthfully hated my math instructor (he became sexist and made grading own), my mom gave me some great suggestion: "the excellent revenge is to stay nicely." perhaps your instructor became undesirable to you, yet taking part in a prank on her probable won't make her take care of you or destiny scholars any further acceptable. Plus, you could experience such as you back at her and experience better temporarily, yet till you forgive her, you will no longer experience better for long. that isn't any longer ordinary to forgive, besides the undeniable fact that it feels better than different techniques of coping with the subject.

It comes from the fact that mathematics is actually the language spoken by the non-humanoid Cosmic Entities such as Nyarlathotep and Cthulhu.

Eventually, someone will rediscover the equation that will allow them access into this dimension...and then the fur will fly!
