I really don't get it. If you don't want to have an abortion, then okay. But why would you think it should be illegal for everyone? I think it would be better to have an abortion than to have a child you don't want or have the ability to nuture and provide for. And its not like human population is on the decline. Overpopulation is the real concern, isn't it?

Somebody please explain to me the strict pro-life point of view.

pro-lifers are anything but pro-life. they are pro-fetus, anti-woman and a bunch of control-freaks who think sex should only be done to procreate. they don't give a damn about the woman, nor the fetus once the cord is cut.

298,212,900 Population of USA (If half 149,000,000 are women and 1,200,000 abortion according to AlienJoe. That means as of today more women were safe and in the care of professionals, in CLEAN lighted rooms than ever before.
thierryinho correctly states that no one knows who the next genius is to solve major problem or find cures to illnesses. Except making abortion illegal will only send desperate women and girls into back alleys, and the well off to other countries where the procedure (killing) is done in safe clean care.
Birth control is not 100% reliable - because HUMANS are in the midst of PASSION, and not THINKING, they are LIVING THE MOMENT. Thinking starts after when the blood stops racing - or worse she shows signs of being pregnant.
Humans trusting technology to free up their passion is not logical. Too many mistakes do happen.
Humans so far rarely want to adopt - thinking they will have their own, perfect child, and not wanting to gamble on dealing with genetics of child, or legal harrassment by system (child has some family somewhere, just do not want child.) Because then it's an issue of who the parents are, what they believe (faith) life style, the list is long) - rarely does anyone care about the child - just the money to raise them - not the love they need.

Not strict pro-life, sorry - I try to be Pro-thinking, or choice. I also am responsible at all times.
Also I do not like when men talk about abortion - as so few stand up and take responsibility for their actions. Also rape and incest - men have no say either, except help in killing rapist. Rape victims need free medical care and therapy for life, for depression.
Politically the matter is only discussed because of money. We are saving millions of women, but political people only want to think of money issue. To stay in office - or kick someone out - just
talk about money, with some spin, or lies and pictures. Where is the honor in this?

Well that's it isn't it? It's about choices... You've decided that a baby would be better off not living - than living unwanted. Pro-lifers believe that nobody has the right to make that decision for another person.

>>>> I think most people are somewhere in the middle. I feel like, it should be an option - but it should be heavily restricted. As it is now there are about 1,200.000 abortions in the USA every year. That's disgusting...

There are several people who were very poor and have contributed greatly to the world. Besides, there are people willing to adopt. So your poor argument does not hold water. The Japanese have high density but they are self sufficient. At the rate at which technology is progressing, we can easily inhabit other planets. And what about the food in the oceans and seas. If you are concerned about the environment as I am, note that it won't be long before people find new sources of energy.

Is there such a thing as casual pro life point of view? I support accessible birth control but not murder.

because it is a terrible thing to do, and it is murdering a human-being that didn't even get the choice to live.
