It's 100% natural that the water get cloudy. You've stirred up all the dirt and particles. But no need to worry.

Now that you've vacuumed the gravel, a lot of the water had been removed. What you'll want to do next is fill the tank back up, and pour in some aquarium water conditioner along with it.

I use Aqua Plus and it works great. The water is clear up and the filter will help in clearing the water. And it's CHEAP! You can get it at any pet store or grocery store in the pet isle.

This is what the Aqua Plus does to the aquarium:

- Removes Chlorine and Chloromine
- Neutralizes heavy metals
- Coats, protects, promotes healing
- Reduces Stress
- and more!

After vacuuming gravel it's normal to have cloudy water with some particles in it. When you vacuum, your're naturally going to stir up particles that have settled in the substrate.

I normally do a partial water change when I vacuum my gravel, to get some of those extra floating particles out of the aquarium.

Once your water settles, those particles will settle back down in the substrate, where they belong, and the water will gradually clear. The amount of time it takes for your water to clear will depend on how large your aquarium is.

There are also chemicals available that quickly "clear" the water. The chemical attaches to loose particles in the water and drags it back down to the substrate. These chemicals aren't necessary in most cases. There is no need to add more chemicals than are required to your tank.

I hope you have your filter on anyway, needs to run 24/7

As for the cloudy water, it will settle after about 24 hours and you will have clear water again

Hope that helps
Good luck
