SHOULD they? Oh, hell yes. WILL they? Ha. Y!A is incapable of any actual action. They let trolls, stalkers and monsters-in-general run their site for them. Those of us who's method has been "live and let live" are going to have to take care of it ourselves.
I have a "general rule of thumb"- IF I don't have to: Watch it, participate in it, pay for it, or clean up after it....then it's none of my business. Guess what? THIS is my business! It's destroying the members here that I admire. It strikes at the innocent, and rewards the guilty. And now, Y!A has become such a haven for the unprincipled we have vigilantes and blatant pornography. It's not just porn; it's truly obscene. I have had enough. I have no problem with pornography in general: of adults, for adults, and by adults. However, it is ALWAYS POLITE to inquire, before shoving this garbage in someone's face. And, as you point out, there are children here. (These morons are also children; regardless of their age.) So, from now on, the little illegitimate morons are on notice. I'm over "live and let live." Waaay over. Everyone can click on the little flag, you know. Trolls, stalkers, obscenities, etc., etc. will die an abrupt and sudden death if they cross my path. If I'm gonna go, I'm damn-sure gonna take some of these..."people"... with me!
Sooo! And how've you been? }:>
Oh, hell. Xenypoo: Eyewash. That "freedom of crap" garbage is old, tired, too easy and wrong! It's EVERYone's job to protect the children! And, just so you know: I don't like it either. Since they have given me no choice, I plan to give them none.

Absolutely!! Yahoo most of all should set some boundries and have moral objectives as to what gets on their web site. The purpose of Yahoo answers is for question and answering, not for personal displays of porn. There are no age limits as to who gets on this web site so Yahoo should definately place limits on what should be allowed knowing that young viewers are using Yahoo. Thanks for bringing this to our awareness. Let's hope that whoever is in charge will see good reasoning in this and do the right thing.

Yes, this is an open site for people of all ages. In as much, people should respect one another and respect the fact that we have this privilege!
Instead, there are some who tend not to look beyond themselves. It is sad but, it is true! This can create all manner of havoc, in an open forum. This is why I believe that some step over a line.
To me, it simply says that this person has no respect for himself/herself nor, anyone else. But, this is just what I have observed.
In as much, yes, I would vote for a ban on such avatars and mindsets!

Maybe I just don't understand Q&A? I've had questions deleted for no reason what so ever.......example, I was asking about music, bands, lyrics several questions.....
It was a song by Atlanta Rhythm Section......"I am so
into YOU!".....I capped you because it was stressed in the song....Zapped, Now you tell me.....Someone told me
they were getting by with the porno because they, the people guilty of the Pornatars were long time Q&A'ers
protesting getting their(friends) accounts suspended. Now you can hear anything around here, that don't make it true. figured it would wane after a bit, even thought it may be kids......Who knows???

i have actually been thinking about this lately. well, not the pornpics -i don't care for them at all,really... (sing ♪ c'est la'vie), but the adult content ,in general. ..
Wouldn't it be a good idea to have an "Age Verify " page? . one of those "i attest i am over 18years of age' dealies.... and the ppl that wanted to post and play over there could do so without the rest of the world having to look at it.
It's content would be kept out of the general questions on the "answers"page,of course,
...as should anything from "pregnancy", now that i take a second to ponder on it some... :/

Yes they should. Its wrong for kids under like 12 or something to see gross pictures like that.If they don't understand what the certain picture is they will be like "mom what is that?" and she will be like "what kind of website are you on?!" And make them get off. I think those pics should definitely be banned.

I agree that they should be banned. If I think they're bad to look at, I surely wouldn't want kids seeing them. According to Yahoo, they will not ban IP addresses. How else do you get rid of them.

YES, YES and YES. It's bad enough that kids get exposed to that garbage but many of the adults on here don't appreciate it either. Me for one. A star for you. Wish I could give you a thousand of them

I more than agree. If people want to look at that garbage why don't they go to a site they can look at it alone?
Many adults don't like it either but there seems to be no protection for our children anywhere, anytime, anymore.
Where is it going to end?
Or is it?
