Stone work especially dry laying or wall building. Masonry as another version of hardscaping. Doing good stone work is worth advertising. People are tired of rotting rail ties. Stone patios laid in sand and very even are gaining in popularity.

Can you install well designed watering systems? Ones that waste a minimum of water? That would be well worth advertising.

If you already knew that's how they did things on the job when your boss said clean out your desk this is your last day it would have came as no surprise, but telling him in writing that you understand by submitting your resignation that this might be your last day, might have backfired on you, he might have said don't be foolish hang in there till I find someone to replace you, putting you in an awkward position, then you would have had to tell him I can't stay I'm starting a new job on Monday, If possible its always a good idea to leave on good terms, Don't burn bridges behind you. GOOD LUCK

Hanging ceiling fans, changing doorknobs/locks, simple roof repairs, light tree trimming, fence repair, carpet cleaning, replacing light bulbs in hard to reach places, replace/repair window screens, caulk windows, haul off junk, minor repair or home remodel, hang mini blinds, anything that requires climbing in the attic or under the house.

My husband and I used to help some of our elderly neighbors and this is just a few of the things they requested we help with. Some of their needs were a little more in depth and when we were qualified, we helped with those, too ( new roof, new A/C, patio covers and carports, bathroom remodels).

When I think of odd jobs, I also think of handyman stuff: replacing door hardware, fixing fences, minor electrical work, fixing holes in drywall, that kind of thing.

shoveling snow, raking leaves, small carpentry jobs (building shelves, fences etc), delivering newspapers, dressing up like a hot dog (or any other embarrassing mascot) and standing on a street corner....

My card reads:

"Anything honest and a few others we can discuss"
Tinker, Bodger, Luddite"

If nothing else, you get their attention when they ask what the last 3 words are.
