The Bible indicates in at least two places, one that after the 1260 days the two prophets will be killed and after 3 and 1/2 days come to life. And also the Bible says in another place after the 2300 days there will be a time times and a half time (that is 3 and 1/2 times).
I am paraphrasing all this from memory.
It turns out that the 2300 ends on the same days as the 1260, which in fact is mid April, coordinate with 30 prior to May 14 or 15 (as when Israel became a nation again in 1948)
The time 1260 or 1290 also is coordinate with the time span of the ministry of Jesus.

The 3 and 1/2 days is metaphorical.

The time times and a half is a specific duration of time and I believe a clue to that is in the book of Daniel.

It could be 28 minutes from now or 280 years from now. When the superpowers square off against each other in two camps, then come back and we'll talk apacolpse.

Until then, just think regional conflicts, wars between rump states, proxy wars and brinksmanship. If you recall the Yom Kippur War in 1973, a coalition of Arab States (Egypt, Syria and Jordan) were soundly defeated by the Israelis. That was a worse situation than the current conflict and it didn't raise a blip on the world war radar (not that it didn't have the potential to spark a global war).

The next World War will involve a nuclear exchange, how could it not. In the first 30 minutes, nearly a billion people will have been vaporised, mostly in the US, Russia, Europe, China and Japan. Another 1.5 billion will die shortly thereafter from radiation poisoning. The northern hemisphere will be plunged into prolonged agony and barbarity.

Eventually the nuclear winter will spread to the southern hemisphere and all plant life will die. You ask when is the apacolypse, you are asking when will we commit global suicide. My answer is it won't happen soon because the larger superpowers are more rational than the rump states in the middle east.

Our biggest risk is an accidental launch of nukes by one of the nuclear powers.

The sun has about another 15 billion or million years to go. The moon is leaving the earths orbit at about 2 inches a year.

Our sweet spot will remain, our seasonal orbit will change in maybe 2,000 to 20,000 years.

As the moon draws further away from our orbit the tether stability the moon gives our planet will be less and the earths rotation will become erratic.

Much to the point it will be winter one day and summer the next day.

You can try this, tether some string to a tennis ball using some tape, the tennis ball is the moon, you will be the earth.

Okay spin it like you would twirl it around your head, notice the stability of your twirling hand, you can feel the pull of the ball as it spins around you, if the ball were to break away, what does your hand do momentarily.

Fortunately I won't be around when that happens between the earth and the moon. It won't as sudden as the experiment, as I said, just add a few thousand years to the action.

It should give you an idea how the end will come, that is if we don't blow ourselves up in the name of god.

We do not know when the world will end. I don't think we can consult the Bible for a date certain -- it only give hints.

When I am talking about the world, I am talk about the age of humans, that it is, the time when humans exist. If you want to talk about when the earth will end or when the universe will end (if that is a possibility), then you need to specify.

I think it will end when all the forces to be are in alignment or agreement. The sun does have a lot to do with this planet's destruction, but that's not happening any time soon. Maybe some other catastrophe will take us all out.......i.e., meteor, nuclear of some sort or could even be chemical warfare. The point is, not ONE person can determine when time is up for EVERYONE!

In a few million years our sun will become a red giant and envelop the first three planets and scorch the surface of Mars. By then we should be deep space travelers

OR...

An asteroid will hit the Earth in a few decades and another species will become dominant (If any survive that is.).

The bible is never correct. I think the world will end when the world is destroyed by human stupidity.

Why worry about the end of the world? Worry about today. Your life may end before the world does.

As for something more inclined in the christian tradition, may I suggest also be pious for the end of the world suggests the 2nd coming of God. You do not need to fear God if you are holy in spirit and in your actions and have a close relationship with God.

I am in NO WAY religious.

I am assuming you mean HUMAN life no longer being on earth.

When it comes to the end of human time. I think it will all come down to a man (or small group of men) having too much responsibility (and NO accountability) killing us all.

..."PUSHING THE BUTTON".........kind of a thing.

When I am not sure.

.........hope it is not for at least another 60-70 years at least.

The world will end when humans decide it to. I think long before the sun burns out, someone stupid will do something even more incredibly stupid beyond how stupid they are as a human, and we'd all go down the crapper.

Oh wait, we're doing that slowly already. Tomorrow.
