I used to work with a lot of Muslims, and they were wonderful...I was friends with them all...they received a lot of persecution due to 9/11, and it was a shame what was said and done to them...If you persecute many because of a few, you might as well start the Holocaust all over again...I believe the ones that create this terror aren't true Muslims...Muslims are peaceful, loving, God-fearing people....the terrorists aren't any of the above...they are just hateful and violent.

Well, the extremists/terrorists are the equivalent of the Christians who blow up abortion clinics and the child-molesting priests. Thankfully rare and VERY f*cked up, but they get lots of press time. Every religion has its good and its bad people, it's just that the crazy ones get the most media attention. Islam, like Christianity, is practiced by a BILLION followers, and I seriously doubt all of those billion are terrorists.
The Qu'ran (Islamic holy book) does not condone or mandate violence, terrorism or spousal abuse.
That being said, I do know quite a few Muslims and am on friendly terms with them, though we're not very close due to wildly different schedules. They're pretty normal people. =D I also had an Iranian math teacher in the eigth grade, he was very nice and helped me an awful lot with my studies.
PS: WTF is this doing in the LGBT section?

I was in Iraq for a year so yes I have seen a muslim I never befriended them while I was there. Some of teh women were beautiful but it's like America for that fact there are some that are gorgeous and some that were hit with a bucket of WTF. The reason that they are seen as terrorists is because any kind of recent terrorist activity has been done by muslims it's the same as Japanese during WWII they will have to wait and live out the problems and it will go back to the way it was.

I sat beside one in Astronomy class. We discussed our religious beliefs with each other because we both believe that by understanding the religious beliefs of another you can better understand your own. We didn't know each other that well, but had we stayed in contact I'm sure we would have been friends. I also had a boss once who is from Pakistan who is Muslim. He helped me get a copy of the Quran that is in English. He was a trip. He kept telling people to learn the da*m language because he had to. He made everyone work hard, but he had a great sence of humor.

I live in Malaysia, a Muslim country. .If I have learned one thing in my travels, we're all the same. There are only two things that are different:language and food.
On a different note, I wish people would get off this trend that all muslims are terrorists. It's discrimination galore once again.

I have muslim friends, hmm, let me count... like 8. They are all normal people. Every religion has its good and bad people. unfortunetely they are in the limelight for terrorist bombings and like. I would never think of them (my friends) as terrorists.

Two friends, two colleagues, a few neighbours, many of my acquaintances, and half of my customers. I like Islam a lot.
