I was on food stamps for 3 months. My husband left me, I had a 3 week old baby, I was in my last year at college, with a work study job.

my mom got on them for a month after our parents divorced when we were kids.They told her that she made too much money , but you have these hags having more name brand items and nice vehicles all on this welfare and they tell pl whom make 7.50 hr that they make to much.Glad my mom didn't get addicted to the freebies like some of these Americans get. Some ppl need it but don't get too dependant on it and you get lazy and not want to get a job and just want to have babies all over the place.An have ppl footing the bill whom aren't on welfare.

when I lost my job I needed them for a little while but they dont give you enough money to make it worth all the effort of filling out all the paperwork and the interviews

When I was little my mom did, mom had one job 8am to 8pm
and was payed minimum wage 6.50 an hour.
3 kids do the math.
