I looooove this stuff I got from CVS pharmacy, and unfortunately I can't remember the exact name. It's a callus softener... and it comes in a little bottle with an application tip built into the bottle. You put it on your heels and toes, wrap your feet in plastic wrap, let sit for about 8 minutes, and scrub off with a pumice stone. This stuff is really amazing. It was the only kind at CVS, so I'd just go look for it.

Also, first, go get a professional pedicure (only $25) and then use the callus softener and pumice to maintain.

Good luck!

Pumice stones don't do much if you don't do anything else. I use Avon's line of foot products and they work wonders. Once a week, soak your feet in a softening solution in warm water. I suggest this (http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.asp?src_page=product_list.asp&level1_id=300&level2_id=303&pdept_id=338&dept_id=&pf_id=31303) and it smells wonderful. Soak for about 15-20 minutes. Dry feet thoroughly and then apply an exfoliating scrub (http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.asp?src_page=product_list.asp&level1_id=300&level2_id=303&pdept_id=338&dept_id=&pf_id=9885). Rinse with warm water, towel dry, THEN rub over the pumice stone to remove any dead skin. Apply a deep moisture cream and you're good to go (http://shop.avon.com/shop/product.asp?src_page=product_list.asp&level1_id=300&level2_id=303&pdept_id=338&dept_id=&pf_id=9934). I highly suggest this regimen, with the listed products. It worked great for me and the whole set costs less then $10. After maybe treat yourself to a nice pedicure so they'll be soft and look beautiful for when your hubby comes home :) Good luck!

1) Get a pedicure & have them give you a paraffin dip to soften your soles.

2) Kerasal foot ointment = the best for healing rough feet quickly. My pedicurist told me about it & uses it herself.

Apply it in the morning & in the evening. Wear socks to bed if you can to help the ointment sink in.

3) Use a foot file like one by OPI after soaking your feet in a milk bath. Add 2 cups of whole milk to a basin of warm water & soak for 10-15 minutes. I find foot files to be more even & more effective than a pumice stones.

4) Here are other recipes:

For smooth, pretty feet: In a foot bath, combine 1 cup of lemon juice, 2 tablespoons olive oil, 1/4 cup milk and enough water to fill the basin. (You may also add a few drops of your favorite essential oil for fragrance, if you like.) Soak feet for 15 minutes, then rinse with warm water.

Strawberry Foot Scrub
Feet can use a little help in summer, when sandals expose rough dead skin for all to see. This easy scrub helps slough it all away:

INGREDIENTS
8 strawberries
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoons kosher salt

Mix ingredients into a paste, massage well into feet, then rinse and dry. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/strawberries-kitchen-cupboard-beauty.html

There is a product that is sold at Walgreens or Wal Mart and it is called Miracle Foot Repair. I put in on every morning. I would use it in the evenings and wear socks to bed. Then reapply after your shower in the morning. I could not live without it!

I bet you are SO excited for him to be coming home!!!
I wear flip-flops all the time and love to go barefoot too. Victoria's Secrets Ultra softening body butter (Amber Romance ~my fave!!!) works on my dry feet. I just rub it on the rough spots before I go to bed every night. It's quick and easy, but works for me.

I wear flip-flops ALL the time :]
So what I do when my feet get a little rough is I get a pair of my thickest socks, and put lotion ALL over me feet, a lot of lotion (don't rub it in) put your socks on and sleep. just like that.
When you wake wash the excess lotion and off
and there you go :] Perfect, soft, touchable feet

I hope that helps you
and thumbs up to your husband.

Vinegar is very good for hands and feet. Mix half and half with water twice daily and it'll make a huge difference. Also E45 cream is great for softening rough skin (not sure if you can buy this where you are).

My Granny used to steep her feet in hot water and olive oil ! Not sure about the results though!
