I accidentally washed a silk shirt in the washer. It came out wrinkly and not as soft. I have tried rewashing it, using extra fabric softner. I love this shirt and only wore it once. Can it be fixed?

Iron it on the lowest heat setting with no steam or spray. It'll be fine.

Wash in cold water, once you have washed it, give it a good shake, hang on a hanger and and pull into shape, Don´t let it dry to much, Now with your iron , on a warm setting iron the shirt inside out, This way you can remove the creases, without leaving a shine on the material

Hang it on a hanger, put it in the bathroom, turn the shower on really hot and shut the door. Do not put the shirt under the water. The steam should dewrinkle it and it should be ok. If not, it's ruined. Good luck!

I've only had 'washable' silk.
If the warm iron trick doesn't work try taking it to a reputable cleaner in your town.
Good luck,
I hate it when I screw up a favorite clothing item! grrrrr!
