Pull the skin on the outer corner so that the lid is tight and your eye is closed. Starting from the middle of your top lashline, move the brush in one smooth movement across the natural shape of your eyes. Turn your wrist slightly upward at the end for a tail if you want.

Starting where the line begins, move the brush toward the inner corner of the eye (the line should be finer here).

Use a sheer contrasting shadow to make your eye really pop!!!

Don't get frustrated if you don't get it right away-you really do have to practice and get comfortable enough with the brush to not flinch or poke yourself in the eye.

I love this question, because it used to be a huge challenge for me, and I never used the stuff! Then I took had a day-long training session with a professional makeup artist, and he told me the secret!!!

First, draw a line along your lashes from the outside corner to the inside using a black eye liner. Taper the line so it's thicker on the outside of your eyes.

Next, go over the line with black eye shadow and an eye liner brush. Fill in the spaces between your lashes.

Finally, apply your liquid eye liner. Start on the inside corner and draw a continuous line to the outside corner, making the line slightly thicker on the outside of the eye for drama.

Mary Kay makes a GREAT liquid eye liner with a felt tip applicator that is so easy to use!!! I love it!!! Check this out: http://www.marykay.com/whatsnew/applicationstips/eyepromise/drawtheline_application.aspx?tab=whatsnew

Also, never apply liquid eye liner to the bottom lash line or inside the eye lid (the wet fleshy part).

P.S. It does take practice!!! Use eye makeup remover on a q-tip to clean up the line if necessary.
