Starting your period that early is rare and hard on your body, so it is common for your periods to be irregular or absent for months at a time. Most women start to have regular periods when they get a little older, and some women's periods never figure themselves out, they're irregular their whole lives and nothing is wrong with them. If your periods are really heavy or painful (like not being able to get out of bed painful) or they last for more than a week, that is an indication of a more serious problem and you should tell your mom or older sister or someone else you trust. You can tell them now about your irregularity, too, just to get their opinions. A lot of times moms and daughters have similar experiences with their periods, so if your mom had problems like this when she was your age, it can be a big relief to know it just runs in the family.

It is very common for young girls like you to get the irregular periods at your age... Also, I've had mine for 2-3 years (but I'm older than you) and they are still not regular. It will be happening for a while until your body gets used to having the monthly menstrual cycle. Don't worry about it--- Just eat the right foods and exercise daily or weekly and you will be healthy, even if you periods are irregular.
Hope this helps, if not, ask your doctor or mom (or other female relative) for help...

That is very normal. You are still young. They might not be regular for a few more years.

no, in fact it can take a number of years to become regular. some girls don't ever have a regular cycle, and most are put on birth control to regulate them.

it could be normal because of your age. I would talk to your female caregiver and let them know what symptoms you are having...not being regular could mean quite a few things....mention at your next dr visit too...so you will feel comfortable that you are okay.
