I know that you're laughing, but I just bought a used 16-foot fiberglass bass boat and I drive a Chrysler PT Cruiser. I keep the boat in a slip, but need to get it out periodically to do work on it or take it to the shop. Is it possible to tow a boat like that with a PT Cruiser?

towing yes. pulling up a ramp, maybe. front wheel drives can be a problem depending on the ramp slope, wet surface, ramp surface etc. putting trailer load on rear of car tends to lift the front end, reducing tire grab.

No, I'm afraid you're going to need a BOAT TRAILER, or that bass boat is going to take one helluva beating!

But seriouly.. Yes, if I had a bass boat, boat trailer and a PT Cruiser I would do just that.

I am sure you can. Just don't go too far and too fast. Do you have the proper trailer hitch on it? You may find pulling the boat hard on the transmission if it's an auto, and hard on the clutch if it is a stick. good luck

I have hauled horses for many years. You have to look @ the specs in your owners manual on hauling loads. Then look @ the specs on the boat to see how much it weighs w/ trailer to see if it's safe.
