Don't pump the mascara tube because that's what dries it out. instead, move the wand in a circular motion inside the tube to get the mascara off the sides. and when you apply it, apply it slowly and rotate the brush as you apply it to your eyelashes. take your time and don't go too crazy. finish one eye before going to the next because if you add another layer after it's dried, it'll clump

First dip your brush into the tube a couple time, then when you pull it out of the tube rotate the tip around the opening of the tube.

To make your eyelashes fuller and bigger without clumps DON"T WIPE THE BRUSH OFF!! Keep the mascara on the brush.

Now, place the brush right at the bottom of your eyelashes and wiggle the brush a little for 3 secinds while trying to close your eye against the brush. (this will get your eyelashes inbetween the bristles) then pull up.

Try this 3 times... Then invert the brush and with the tip of your brush and push your eyelashes up with the tip, especially in the corners of your eyes.

Don't buy the expensive stuff because half the time its all the same stuff, the company wants you to think it lengthens your eyelashes... But really how is black liquid gonna make your eyelashes grow 3 mm.

I use Khol's brand black eyeshadow and it works so nice and last forever I've had my tube litterally for a year.

Hope it helps and works for you!!!

ok well mascara used to clump for me but now i just use a cheap mascara like maybelline great lash and it really doesnt even matter what mascara you use because all you have to do is this:

-buy an eyelash curler. i just bought revlon's and its pretty good, you just have to sqeeze tight on your eyelashes and hold for 5-10 seconds. it was only about 4$ at my local drugstore.

- then, all you need to do is paint over your lashes lightly with the mascara wand. make sure to get the smaller lashes near the inner and outer corners of your eyes. the trick is to not use too much. once, it is dry, you CAN curl your eyelashes again with the eyelash curler for a more dramatic curl, but you dont have to. and dont worry about the eyelash curler messing up your eyelashes after you put the mascara on, it wont clump your lashes together!

ps. even if it clumps a bit you can always use an eyelash comb or even an old toothbrush to brush through your eyelashes. but dont brush too much! it will decrease the amount of mascara on your eyelashes.

I sort of wiggle the brush when I am taking it out of the tube. I very carefully/lightly apply the mascara, and do a couple coats while it's still wet. You just need a light touch. Also, replace the mascara every few months, it tends to clump when it's dry.

get one that has the curved brush and dont wear so much.. put a little on one eye then the other giving the first eye a chance to dry a little and then apply a little more.. then the same with the other eye.. it will make your lashes look longer and it wont clump..

make sure you wipe the extra mascara off the brush before applying it too..

Buy a good mascara. I like Mary Kay's Ultimate Mascara.

Apply it in light coats instead of putting a bunch on at once.

Start at the base of your lash, and giggle back and forth out to the tip for best results. To add length, come back to the individual lashes and turn the brush to vertical "pull" away from the eye.

I use the TWW method. You take your masscara and a papertowl or napkin or something and take the wand out of the masscara. On the end of the wand there's usually a clump and the end of it so TAP the end of the wand on the napkin then WIPE off the excess masscara off the end. Then when applying WIGGLE the masscara on from starting at the root of the lashes then wiggling up to the tips. This prevents clumping and makes your masscara look natural, long, thick and ah-mazing! :)

One good solution is always just buying nice mascara. I like the Sephora brand and M.A.C., myself.

Now, if you're not willing to splurge on make-up try this!
this may sound crazy but before you put on your mascara, spray the wand with hairspray! I don't know why it works, but it really does the trick! I read it in a magazine once, and now live by it =]

I usually try not to keep the wand exposed too long...it dries out the remaining mascara and the stuff on the wand.

If you have an extra toothbrush or a lash comb you can run it through after you apply and it'll knock them off of your lashes.
