Will the bearings last in the hot, carbon environment?
Tailgunner® exhaust uses either two or three high quality American shielded radial bearings in each model. They are designed to resist heat and corrosion and have been operating in the field for over 3 years without failure. We recommend lubricating the bearings with the hose tip of a synthetic spray every 1,000 miles of operation to ensure smooth, trouble free operation. Please Note : The bearings are not under load. They are freewheeling and well below their maximum temperature, load and heat limits.

While you've got it apart to replace the muffler bearings, it might be a good time to change out the power band.

I'm sure it's not the muffler bearings, since the never wear out. Most likely, you have a loose screw just behind and in between the handlebars

sounds reasonable, you may wanna upgrade to sealed/lubed for life return bearings so you dont have to lube them every 10,000 miles, also look for at least 8 ball return bearings. The muffler charging valve is a known problem if i remember there is either a recall or a tsb (technical service bulletin) for that .you may be able to get the valve replaced free. i would try for the freebie for sure.

Look on the shelf at the auto parts store for the blinker fluid, there will be halogen and standard. The shelf to the right, or below that display will be muffler bearing grease and the tool you need. Don't forget that you will also need the metric screw driver in the case it has worn to the point it needs to be replaced.

I have never heard of muffler bearings. What year/make/model vehicle do you own? Why do you ask? Did some repair shop ask you this?

Either someone likes scewing with you, or your just bored or most likely both. Start by getting all the ball bearings they dropped down your muffler out. Then check tire presure. Then check chain, make sure its tight. Then jump on and ride. Go now, make it so.
