i ordered birkenstocks from nordstrom on sale because i really wanted them. and i am getting mixed feelings about if i should keep it or not. what do you think? ♥

It depends on why you're having mixed feelings? Peer pressure or doubts about whether they're as comfy as you expected?
Or would you rather do something else w/ the money?
Don't give in to peer pressure. It'll make it easier to resist it when it comes to bigger issues.
If you're just not satisfied w/ the shoes, go ahead & return them.
BTW, which kind did you get & how much were they? Just checking 'cause I didn't spot them on sale. : (

First of all you have to wear what you are comfortable in. Forget anybody else's opinion because it's not their money spent on them.
Second like said above everything comes back into style... My mother had a bunch of belts from the 80's she was about to throw away about 4 years ago. I put them into a trunk of a bunch of old vintage clothes and sure enough 80's belts came back into style.
Birkenstocks are shoes that have been around a long time and they always come back into style. If you are afraid of not impressing someone else then keep them in your closet till they "come Back". But you ordered them for a reason, because you liked them so ROCK YOUR SHOES HONEY. and after you tired and want something new, place them away and in 7 years you'll have shoes that are all the rage and vintage, double points for you!!!!
I mean seriously, who ever thought 80's big hair and uneven hair cuts would come back. Or the grunge look that we see so many teenagers at the mall wearing.

If you are into keeping up with fashion and style, I would say no! Birks are not really the IT thing and I think that may b e awhile before they do come back.
But, if YOU do like them, and they work for you....then keep them. Remember style isn't about what you see in the magazines and television. Style is what you bring to the table. If it's a pair of birks and some shorts, go for it.

Keep them, they are soooo comfortable. I wear mine all the time in the summer with long skirts or just kicking about in the house.

I have birks...they are a different look..but very comfortable. If YOU do not want them...YOU make that decision. Have a mind of your own...you will be happier satisfying yourself..not other people.

my mother wears them. but she isnt a hippy. (she'd cut down any old tree) but, she is like 35 i think. my little sister has a pair of pink and white ones. but if they are cute, i WOULD get them. (not the hippy style.)

they might be in style where you live but in Massachusetts they are SO last year!
