Chuck Hagel if he runs. Otherwise, I'd have to say . . . . Ron Paul

I'm a Republican, and I think Hillary might be the best of the Democratic candidates. A few years ago I would've thought Biden or Richardson would be the best. But just like the rest of the Democratic candidates they've gone way out to the left extreme in a desperate attempt to get attention. I don't like Hillary, but these other lunatics are making her look like a genius by comparison.

Being an independent I can't vote in the primaries. But for Repub I would pick Ron Paul because of his populist views. I have voted for Dems many times but this time around, I can't find one that is not part of the problem. Both parties are on the payroll of something other than the American people.

I am also a Libertarian who views the democrats as the closest thing to an "opposition" party (simply because they often term themselves "progressives"). However I would actually be moderately happy with Mike Gravel. He supports the fair tax, wants the troops out of Iraq, wants smaller government, and believes in the notion of privacy. I don't agree with every plank in his platform (such as single payer universal health care) but I think he would honestly make a very good president. Which of course means he'll never make it past primary season. If you want me to pick one of the big names, well, I suppose if you held a gun to my head I could vote for anybody except Hillary. I'd vote for Hitler's reanimated corpse before giving that authoritarian witch even a hint of support.

Sticky one for me because I am a decline to state voter which in California means I can select and vote whichever ballot I choose.
I'll vote for Obama because I want new ideas coming from the President. Not a rehash of what we've already tried.

Maybe Edwards. He's not the only millionaire running.
Problem with Obama and Clinton is their vote FOR Amnesty to Illegals. They do NOT put AMERICAN CITIZENS first. Obama will insure minorities get special treatment... and Illegals qualify.
But we all know the best liar will win.

If I had to pick a Dem, it would be Joe Biden. He is very intelligent, funny, and experienced in foreign affairs. He sometimes says things that are politically incorrect, but I like him for that!
