Heinrich Schliemann discovered "Troy" by reading Homer's poems The Illiad and The Odyssey. He followed exact physical landmarks....how far away the ocean was, how many times in a day you could walk around the city, and other such things. When he thought he had found the site of the legendary city of Troy he started to dig. Everyone scoffed at him and said he was wasting his time. Look up Schliemann's gold on goggle. It is fabulous! Although we don't know that this town was really called Troy or if there was really a great battle fought there over a woman named Helen, he found something by reading accounts he believed were true.

There are tons of them:
Declaration of Independence was signed on July 4th (it was July 2nd)
The Japanese were the first to attack Americans at Pearl harbor (A US destroyer had already sunk a Japanese mini-sub)
The Civil War was fought over slavery (it was Federalism vs. States Rights)
No Japanese person in the USA was ever accused of or convicted of espionage or aiding the Japanese war effort (a few were)
Japanese Americans were required to go to relocation camps during WW II (no, they were required to leave the West Coast, but most had no where else to go)
And yes, Elvis and Tupac are dead, OJ did it, and Paris Hilton is hated because she is and does what all of us really truly wish we could have and do and be ...

Europeans were in north America before Asians. Due to a land bridge. Later Asians arrived in greater numbers on the Asiatic land bridge. It was thought that the Caucasians died out but DNA testing shows that they were assimilated.20% of native americans show european DNA.
