I am from Wisconsin and I just wish Favre would retire. Do you think that he is that good of a player? I dont. I think he had his days and now they are gone. He is just another over paid player.

He's a Hall of Famer and legend, but he should bow out gracefully before he further tarnishes his legacy. Watching him in some games last season was painful - I know Green Bay didn't have a great team around him, but he's not who he was several years ago. His legs are going on him, and he doesn't have the ability anymore to get away with as many mistakes as he once did.

It's time to give Rodgers a shot in the Bay. However, I don't think you can make Favre leaves until he decides its time, simply because he's done so much to this point.

If Marino had not injured hic achiles hill, his numbers would have been astronomical. He still came back from the injury and retired while he was still on top.Ihate to see someone who now just fills a roster spot, keep playing until he breaks the records of the best QB to play the game. Favre was great in his time.Just never as good as Marino.Marino, though retired can still throw better than Favre.

Favre is in the top 10 QB's playing right now.I will GUARANTEE he can throw a ball better than any other QB in the NFL.including Dan Marino easily. You ever see drivers hands, Favre has broke 7 of his fingers. In practice he isn't allowed to throw to a receiver inside 30 yards. To you people out there that think they should put in an unproven Arron Rodgers when you got Favre-YOUR STUPID.Odds are Arron Rodgers may never end up with the ability to play like Favre is now(the Bears have been threw 18 QB's since hes been playing). To you people who think he's playing for the stats.Look at his interception ratio, that's from not caring about stats and trying to give his team a chance to win, when they are loosing he just throws it out there because all they can do is loose worse or win.

Favre hasn't missed a game and your worried about his ability to play.I think Arron Rodgers played a half last year and was out for the rest of the season with a broken foot.along with how many others 10 years younger than him. They don't call him the Iron Man for nothing.COME ON!

Remember when Dan Marino was running around with a cast on his foot.

Favre is perfectly capable of playing and playing with the best and with the improvement in his receiving core he will end up in the top 5 QB's this year, mark my words.

Some times you just have to face the facts, Brett's glory days are over and finished. He needs to accept that fact and step aside. For the one who said he throws wild passes to try and allow his receivers to catch a pass to win games knowing the defense has just as much success as his receivers to catch the ball. Man what are you thinking that's no way to win, that's a sign of a desperate person, not a professional quarterback. Quarterbacks have to be as accurate as they can humanly be at there passing to there receivers. Not a 50 50 chance that either there receiver or the defense has a chance of catching the pass, you Win games by putting the ball in your players hands not the other teams. Brett is starting at least his second if not third season beyond retirement, meaning he should have retired at least two years ago. The younger QB might not be as good as Brett once was but they are equal to his current ability and with playing experience they will be able to lead the Green Bay Packers to victory.

i wish he did 3 years ago. He's only in for the records. I'm really concerned about him. He's gonna get hit because his o-line is bad but it might cause some serious damage. He's in the Hall. Hang up the cleats man.

By the way anybody that thinks dan marino sucks because he will be 2nd in touchdown passes is crazy. marino didn't even play as long as favre has and Marino didn't ruin his career by trying to be superman.

I have nothing but respect for what brett has done but i'm scared he is gonna get really hurt.

Okay some of these answers are ridiculous. I respect Favre and his legacy but "twice the player Marino is" Thats absurd and "prove that Marino sucks" thats dumb.

And if you think he should NEVER retire then you aren't a packers fan.

He has lived his football career to the fullest and I admire his wanting to stick with the game as long as possible, BUT there comes a point when you just have to throw in the towel before you ruin a perfectly good career.

Im a Bears fan. But you can't help but respect Favre.

Im sick and tire of Brett Fav're holding the Packers hostage every year with his should i retire or not. He pass his prime already, i mean way, way, way pass his prime, he's not doing that team any favor by playing with sub-par performance every year. He's holding back the development of Aaron Rogers, he's their future, who should got his chance last year, but no it got to be the old man Fav're, who can't seem to let it go. And all the fans who still think he's gonna take them to the super bowl, are just hypocrite and ignorant. I'll say he throw more INT's than TD's this year, he's very erratic. So yeah I'm one them who think old Brett Fav're is over the hill.

wow, leave him alone..
find a better qb stat wise, find a stronger arm. if mike sherman wouldv'e had a line for him the last years, (before mcarthy,) the sky wouldv'e been the limit. consecutive starts is nothing to sneeze at either...touch that stat, it'll never happen again at qb, ever, combination of balls of steel and of course some luck with the injuries.
he is a smart man, one that should be respected. i respect his decision to stay & play. i think 75% of the teams in the nfl would benefit greatly by having a 37 yr old favre at the helm.

Aaron Rodgers is far superior to Favre at this point. Aaron is a badass and is only sitting on the bench because green bay loves farve way too much

He's definitely on the decline, and he is about ready to retire. I really thought he was going to this season, but apparently, he still has something left in the tank. He is good enough to play in the NFL still (a starter on a few teams), but he is a shadow of what he used to be.
