There are not "three main plate boundaries" but there are three types of plate boundaries:

1. Convergent, eg, Himalayas, Cascades
2. Divergent, eg, Mid Atlantic Ridge - Iceland
3. Transcurrent, eg, San Andreas-Fairweather Fault system
