If you're building your team for the future, the clear choice is Carson Palmer. As far as numbers go, they're already equivalent, and that includes a season when Palmer only had 40% of his offensive line and was coming off of major knee surgery for a potentially career-ending injury.
They both have the arm, although Palmer throws a better spiral and is slightly more accurate with his throws, as well as being a little bit more mobile. Manning has better timing with his receivers, but also has four years experience on Palmer, which factors into his slight advantage in intangibles (and it is very slight).
So, if I were building a team to win for the next 10-12 years, I'd go with the elite quarterback who will still be in the league and playing at a high level for that length of time, and that's Carson Palmer.

that would not say the completed tale. Palmer's appropriate passes got here whilst the Broncos have been properly on top of problems with the activity. for sure the Raiders have been going to bypass the ball in that subject. Palmer additionally had a mandatory fumble lost the gave the Broncos extraordinary container place. Manning replaced right into a lot extra powerful on third down conversions (7-14) whilst in comparison with Palmer (2-8) and had a lot extra first downs (30 to fourteen). His in trouble-free terms mistake replaced into the interception however the defender made an impressive bounce to maintain it from being a 50 backyard landing. BQ: The electorate will in all threat provide it to Manning using tale

You have to take Peyton, he has done it year in and year out.
Palmer might be younger, but he has already had a major injury and Peyton never gets hit (though that might change this year).
However, if I was starting an NFL team today, I would have to consider Tom Brady. But Peyton Manning, Palmer and Brady are the best three QB's in no particular order.

Their similarities in playing style are kind of scary, and both of them are very good at what they do. A franchise would be lucky to take either one. Palmer should be just entering his prime, while Peyton has been in his for awhile now, but I think Petyon still has another 6 or 7 years of productivity, and I would take the best in the game for 6 or 7 years rather than someone in the top 5 for 8 or 9.

I would take Palmer. Partly because I am a USC guy, but I also look at the receivers and the system he has now and think he will put up better numbers and win more. Last year he was coming off MAJOR injury, and still was successful. Look at what he did the year before in his first real year of playing.
Manning is great don't get me wrong, but with everything else factored in, right now I am taking Palmer. And I did in my fantasy draft!

Even if I were just building a team I would still take Manning. Yes, Palmer is younger, but Manning just personifies field general. He has a solid command of a team that Palmer still lacks because he's so young. Toss into that his throwing ability and you have the number one quarterback in the league right now.

This isn't even debateable.
Palmer is an all-pro.
Peyton is the best who ever played the game (or will be when he retires).
Despite the age difference, Peyton is the choice.
He is about as perfect as a QB can be. He is extremely accurate. He throws with speed and touch. He has a quick enough release to rarely get sacked.
He is also probably the smartest QB ever to play. He reads defenses better than some coaches do. He can and does call his own plays (unheard of in today's game).
He is a great leader -- vocal when he has to be but beloved by his teammates.
For the most part, he simply cannot be stopped.
To top it off, he is modest, clean-livning, likeable and a pure gentleman.
Palmer wouldn't be a bad choice, but you would have to create a time machine and snatch a guy like Montana before you found someone comparable, and that includes Tom Brady (who may have more rings but has to do much less with TEN TIMES the defense behind him).

I would take Palmer. He will bring you almost as many points as Manning, but you should be able to getr him in the third round, Which will let you draft some Stud RBs in the first two. Someone will almost certainly take Manning in round 1, and as I have stated in many other threads, RBs have a much worse value drop off than QBs.
What the Crap!?!?!? how did I get out of the Fantasy Football page? Oh well, Still say Palmer. Manning is Great, but Palmer looks like the future.

I still take Manning because with the cap and free agency - a team only can last for a few years anyway - not ten years like in the past. Take Manning who has at least 5- 6 good years left and is the smartest QB since Staubach or Montana.
