The tv series THE BRONX IS BURNING is making Reggie Jackson out to be a nasty, rude person. The tv show is also making Jackson to be proud.
I read Reggie's biography and believe that he was a victim of racism and envy within the Yankees.

reggie carried a chip on his shoulder similiar to barrys, the press just wont leave players alone until the players lose their cool! reggie did have the "pop: in his bat, the swagger of a winner, but also remember i dont think he carried a 265 average! as for the tv series, wow very decent program

Your kidding right ? Reggie has been and always will be an EGOMANIAC !I have met him several times. One time I asked him for an autograph and he snubbed me like I ahd the plague. Then I had my wife ask him, and he gladly signed and also had about a 15min covnersation with her. He was a GREAT baseball player, but I think he could also be considered the "Barry Bonds" of his time. The Yankee's in the mid 70's were a team of gritty ball players, Lou Pinella, Bobby Murcer, Thruman Munson etc.... These guys LOVED to play the game and played with passion. The did not play for the glamour that a game winning home run would get them. These guys wanted to win a World Series, not be the MVP of a last placed team.

It's just TV. That's how things go to make stuff interesting. Reggie is a class act who had to deal with a lot of crap. Frankly he could have been nasty and rude, but like I said he was a class act.

Reggie Jackson IS full of himself. Plus, Daniel Sunjata (the actor who plays him) is a really unlikeable actor...

THE BRONX IS BURNING!!!=wat a waste of time on tv!!!just another way to retell the story of the new york yankees in the 70,s or wateva i mean if ur not a yankee fan,then who cares!!!! dnt we get enough bragging of the newyork yankees already and how they are the greatest franchise ever.its getting old.and i simply dnt care.i wouldnt watch an episode if u paid me!!!!!!!!!!!!! wat a waste of time!!!
