I got the in/law a motorola f3 the other day.
Seems ok as the contrast is easy to read.
Not much good for texting on though. Have a look at it on some review sites.
Cheap too, so if it gets smashed up another one wouldn't break the bank. I got one for about £20 incl postage from ebay.

Then again, I just had a look at that emporia life phone mentioned previously. That looks the business.

My aunt needed a mobile phone as she was going into a care home and didn't have a phone line, she has poor eyesight and had a big buttoned phone at home. I found a great big buttoned phone with a screen designed for the partially sighted. It's called the Emporia Life Phone and I bought one from emporialifephone.co.uk. There don't seem to be any shops selling them. ( It comes from Austria).

She loves it and is always calling me!

my brother in law is partially sighted and he got a program put on his phone that makes it voice activated. Go and talk to a couple of phone companies about it, I'm sure you will find something to help grandad x

Yes, a company called "Jitterbug" makes them with a dial tone, live operators, and large buttons that light up...good for the elderly!! Look for them online.......
