Yea sometimes I have a problem with the "black" thing. Just as long it's not a stereotype towards "black people". No one is actually black . I'm not from Africa part of my family were Native Americans and some of my other family is from Haiti. Just as long as you're not trying to be racist. I was born in America just like everyone else so I don't know why I would be any different from other people. That's how I feel about it.

Some prefer Black and some prefer African American. I try to avoid using ethnic labels myself, because political correctness is in the eye of the beholder. "African American" was supposed to be more politically correct when it first went into use, but some people say, "I was born and raised in this country and I've never been to Africa. I'm 100% American, so if you have to call me something call me black."

Hyphenated America anything is ludicrous in my opinion. They're Americans. Anyone who thinks otherwise then must refer to dead marxists definition.

Americans works for me. African-American is often used, but I am against hyphenated-americans. Anyone who lives in this country and is a citizen(or plans to become one) is just a plain old American.

If you are a black talking to another black and you are poor, use the N word.

But for the rest of us black or African American.

I'm colorblind so I wouldn't know when to use these.
