There's this really cute coworker that I'm interested in, but I'm not sure if I should try anything in case something goes wrong.

i did, but we were really good friends first. if you aren't at least friends and you break up, that could be a mess.

This is a tough one. I have dated coworkers in the past and some have been good and some have been bad. It really depends on them. Here are a few things to consider... Is this someone that will gossip and tell stories, good and bad, about your dates and what is going on between the two of you? Is this someone that might be jealous and vengeful if it doesn't work out? How will they react if you stop dating them and you start seeing another guy? This is a tough subject because you spend so much time at work, it is a natural place to meet people, friends, boyfriends etc. You spend so much time there, it is easy to bond with people. At the same time, since you spend so much time together, it could be a very difficult place to work if they don't work out. But, after my bad experience a few years ago which consisting of a woman spreading some vicious untrue rumors about me around the office (she ended up getting fired) and even after she left, it was a difficult work environment. You never know what she has told other people and what your fellow coworkers now think you.....I haven't fished in the company pool since : ) There are many other fish in the sea.....Hope this helps....
