You could link directly to Dell's site to let a buyer see the exact specs of what they are getting (link below). Here are the pertinent details to list though: Intel® Celeron® M 360 Processor (1.40GHz, 1MB Cache, 400 MHz) 256MB shared DDR SDRAM 14.1” WXGA TFT Display with 1280 x 800 resolution Integrated Intel® Media Accelerator 900 Graphics 40GB Ultra ATA hard drive Combo Drive: 24x/10x/24x CD-RW and 8x DVD-ROM New ones seem to run just under $300 so I'd estimate about $50-$120 for yours as long as the battery is holding a charge for a decent period of time. The main feature of value is MS Office 2003 (which must be a retail licensed copy since the laptop was sold with WordPerfect). The laptop is definitely older and underpowered for most current applications. There are new models that are sold for a little more and easily out perform yours.

The processor Intel Core 2 Extreme is much better tha the celeron. His core technology is more better than the one on the celeron type. The speed is not the key in this case. Look on the prices on these processors and you'll findout who is better. Also you have many comparations on internet where you can find more about these processors.

nope....
even though the celeron GHz is a tad bit higher, celeron in itself is just a lower grade chip.
if it's an intel Core 2 DUO Extreme, then that'd just be sic....
but you're saying a core 2 extreme at 2.93, yes, i would say that is way better than the celeron.

of course no my friend coz celeron is about 512 kb but the core duo could be 2 or 4 or 8 mb cache memory

No.
The clock speed of the celeron is meaningless.
The core2 extreme is a dual-core processor - and will smoke the celeron.
(Though even a 2.8G P4 will smoke that celeron... they are junk).

CPU's... I can't make head or tail of them. "Architecture" "dual core" "hyper threading".. I miss the old days when it was Pentium I, Pentium II or Pentium III.
