Do photojournalists make less than regular journalists? Take into consideration big time magazines like National Geographic for example...how much would one of those photojournalists make?

It would depend upon whether you were staff on the newspaper/wire service or if you were freelance. It would also depend upon whether you were a news photographer or a photo-journalist ( a journalist who takes photographs as well. -- This is against the union rules in some countries).

Staff people would have a regular wage whilst a freelance person's income depends upon the number of photographs shot/used or assigned, and this can sometimes be minimal or it can be a large amount.

As a war photographer you could earn a lot of money because there is always plenty of shots that the papers/wire services want.

As a paparazzi, photographing celebrities, a photographer can earn large amounts for one photograph, or series of photos -- anything up to $US 50,000, but for that the photo/s would have to be sensational. In these cases you would be photographing more for 'Photo Agencies', such as 'Gamma Press' etc.
