Is 2 months without a break (no time alone with your husband) too much to take, or am I just in a grumpy mood? How about 3 full months, with 2 short breaks?

No you are not just grumpy! 3 months? that's ridiculous.. and by the way they don't sound like a visitor more like a squatter..

Months!? I value my space, and so does the First Mate. I reckon a week or ten days is long enough for any visitor, no matter how welcome, or how much I'll miss them when they go. And I'd need a break in that, too - and so maybe might they. For me, anything much more than ten days and I'd leave home. Three months and definitely one of us wouldn't be there!!!!

Depends the person who has the visitor. A weekend may be more than enough for some, others might be able to deal with it weeks, months, or longer.

If you've had enough then say so (gently). A visitor is just that...someone who is visiting, not living there and thus they need to be made aware when they've worn out their welcome.

YOu better than me, cause I can only tolerate a visitor for about 2 days at the most a week and I am ready to scream

Sadly too soon . After a While I think they transform from visitor to burden when they start trying to controls things and tell you what's better for you

Everyone should have some alone time with whoever they went to. Just remember whoever your burden is they are trying to help. If they are over your house alot just say".....I know your trying to help, and you are and you are doing a great job but, if you are over my house so much you won't be able to be on top of things(hygine, cleaning, etc...). What I'm trying to say is I really like when you come over but I would really like some time with my husband" There you have it. Just remember be POLITE!!

That is WAY too much time. Throw them out! Benjamin Franklin was the one who said fish and visitors smell after three days. that's three days! You need your space, time and your own place with your husband. Get them out and gone.

2 months, no quality time with your hubby, i'd say it's time to give your little visitor the boot. You're not being selfish, 2 months is a hell of a long time with someone hanging around the house. It's not easy to tell someone that they have extended their welcome, but Yoda says it best. "May the force be with you."
