Calculate number of light years to our sun (93 mi.)?

Could someone please help me out? I was given the formula:

3 x 10^8 m/sec.

A light year is the distance light travels in a year. The distance to our sun is a small fraction of a light year.

Just fyi, distance to the sun varies over the course of a year, so 8.32 minutes would only be average.

take 3 x 10^8 m/s, multiply by 60s/min, 60min/hr, 24hr/day, 365.25days/year

to get distance in one year

93 million what? anyway take the 93 million unit distance you have and divide by one light year of distance, the resulting answer should be close to 0.00000001

however i have to disagree with sandy g, he says it takes 500 seconds which is slightly off either way both our ways work at the end
