Wanting to buy a player for under $100. I like the Sansa Express but it says I have to have Win 2000, I'm running Win 98. Why can't I just copy the files from my hard drive to the player? What does Win 2000 have to do with it? Do I have to use Sansa software to do this? I have Media Player and Real Player. Help me plz I'm confused.

I just looked up the specs for the Sansa Express and it says it needs XP or Vista. It also says Media Player 10+. It think they say XP or Vista because Media Player 10+ doesn't work with Win98SE

You will have to look for another player. I am not familiar with the newer players available so I can't really help you there. Although I am partial MP3 players that allow you to just "drag and drop" music files into it and don't require any type of software in order to put music into a player. The newest player I have is a 1GB iRiver T-10
