Ther are many IM lingo abbreviations. for example u know lol.
the most common ones are brb (be right back), g2g (got 2 go), l8r (later), kk ( ok, yes, sure etc.) wtf (what the $%^&),
w/e (me to, also ect.) lol (laugh out loud, hahahaha), cpu (computer) , bf or gf (boy friend or girl friend) and many more some times friends just make up words/ abriviations like that. Also dropping un important letters like lik is also commmon.
