Absolutely!! I love riding my Honda Shadow Aero 750!! I just learned to ride in March 2006 - NEVER ridden in my life (55+) before that! Hubby wanted to get a bike and I told him we had to get two - how were we going to decide whose turn it was to ride the bike to work?? So, we have two of the 750s. But now since he has had a stroke, we are looking at getting a GoldWing and Triking it out!

That really all depends on how comfortable the bike is that you are riding. For me I do not like riding my boyfriends Ducati. It isn't very comfortable, I have to lean forward and my arms get tired. I know I am whining! I prefer to ride a cruiser where I could lean back and look at the scenery and not go so damn fast.

Next you'll be wanting to vote and have a job outside the home. You don't say what country you are in so it's hard to say. Women can't drive, go to school, show their hair, go out alone, choose a mate or do many things across the globe. Sometimes punishable by death. Your church may excommunicate you and certain politicians may label you a feminnazi. Best to check with your tribal council or village elders. Even some locations in America can resemble the third world when it comes to womens rights to control their own bodies. The current House and Senate come to mind.

some prefer riding passenger.. I ride my own but still ride passenger with the bf.... it depends on what the circumstances are... the thing about having your own bike... if you have a day off work and the other half is working ... you can still take off and ride...
the disadvantage is that as a driver you don't get to sightsee as much or take naps on the really long trips. (yes, I can and do fall asleep on the back of a bike)

My sister does, and some of her friends too.
My wife likes to ride on the back of mine, and has said she wants her own.
