i am an indian living in US, and I am confused that in 1948 according to UN, india must ask kashmiri people through plebiscite, about their future. but yet no plebiscite had held. Why? resulting a war started in 1990?
Is this not an injustice or justice still delayed?

ABT INDIA WITH KASHMIR...... At that time i.e 1948, the Indian and Pakistani governments agreed to hold the plebiscite but neither side actually removed its troops. The plebiscite never took place, leading the UN Security Council to pass several more resolutions which reaffirmed its earlier resolution........
AND AN IMPORTANT CONDITION OF DEMILITARIZATION OF AREA BY CHINA AND PAKISTAN WAS NEVER FULFILLED...HENCE INDIA REFUSED PLEBSCITE....
ALSO ITS HINDU POPULATION OF KASHMIR i.,e KASHMIRI PANDITS HAVE BEEN FORCED TO LEAVE THEIR HOMES IN KASHMIR BY TERRORISTS AND MILITANTS.....WHO ARE LIVING AS REFUGEES IN ELSE WHERE IN INDIA......
HENCE PLEBSCITE IS NOT POSSIBLE.....AS SITUATION HAS CHANGED NOW .....FROM 1948

It was Pakistan which violated the preconditions for Plebicite, by trying to grab J & K by Military force in 1948, again in 1965, 1971 & 1999. On all these occasions it had to retreat with a bloody nose, & lose 50%of it's area,65% population,80% brains , 95% Jute & 65% rice to bangladesh. Even then they learn nothing.
It is poetic justice naPakistan is getting.

State Government in J&K is duly elected and all elected members take a oath to do and act according to the Constitution of India.Thus they believe in that part also which confirms J&K as an unseparable part of India.We do not need permission of terrorists or neighbours for this.
