Mice run near the edges of walls. If they are in the open they don't work as well. Put along walls

Use fresh traps

Use peanut butter so they have to fight with the trigger to get the food

Do you throw them away after wards if you don't they can smell the dead mouse that was on it before. When you use the old traps hold them over your gas stove for a second long enough to get the smell off them. I saw my father in-law do that and i ask what in the world he was doing he told me it's an old trick that was done years ago. It works because,yep you got it there was a mouse deader then a door nail.

Immune = no.
Try a different bait on trap. I use creamy peanut butter.
My grandma use butter.
My mom used drop of syrup.
Rumor (never tried) was also: used sticky gum, sticky candy.
