He was quite outstanding by scoring a century even tendulkar couldn't do it .
Now that he has scored a century he has joined elite panel of tailenders including shane warne ,daniel vittory , jasson gillespie etc .
This hundred will be one of the most special innings by tailenders , because others have scored against the minnows like bangldesh and zimbabwe .

I congratulate Anil Kumble today for his 110* against England in the third Test. It was unbelievable and that is why India increased their score to the 600s. If Kumble takes good wickets, he will be awarded man of the match. I do believe that it is one of the greatest test tons by a tailender.

This ain't a greatest century from a 7th down player. The
pitch is a batsman paradise and what else can you say.
Having said that, Kumble is a born fighter and he can bowl,
bat and throw his body while fielding....
It is good to see Kumble get his first Test century...It does
really good for cricket and for Kumble.....

Yes. Though many may give credit to docile pitch, one must remember that all other recognised batsmen of India failed to convert the good starts they got into a century. Well done Kumble. Hearty congratulations.

Initially he was considered an all rounder. But later on turned a pure bowler who can get a few runs.He made the most of the conditions to get valuable runs for India.Well deserved century for a man at the end of a great career.

awesome innings by kumble... maybe one of the better ones by tailender but the greatest knock ever by a tailender was the double century by jason gillispie against bangladesh... even though they were a lightweight opponent a double century is quite an achievement.. but kumble's ranks up there with gillispies!!

It was awesome! I thought the Indian innings gonna wrap up when Dhoni departed, but it was a pleasant surprise! Just hope that he conjures up some magic with the ball too and get England out twice to win the match!

If the pitch is that bad that means England will score at least 1000 runs. Lets see.
