The plan, at least the one being proposed by Obama gives people the option of buying into affordable plans, but they have to pay for it. I keep seeing people talking about a free ride...it is not a free ride, it is affordable healthcare.

First, it will cost. In that in the UK, we pay via taxation for free health care.

Second, it depends on how the media are presenting 'free' healthcare.

On a different note, we in Europe find it interesting that the most powerful and richest country in the world has such terrible health care for the poor. Your life expectancy for the average person is worse than those born in Cuba, Puerto Rico, Jordan and Costa Rica for example.
