6-10, 7-9 tops.

They will not do well this season with the new coach, instilling a 4-3 defense.

Dick LeBeau will not know what to do (unfortuneatly, it will prob send him to retirement)

No big RB to help out Roethlisberger, which will hurt him badly (and he is not that good of a QB to start with)

Plus, the Bengals and Ravens will have their number all season, they'll split it with the Browns, 1-1.

Willie Parker will be the offensive player of the year in Pittsburgh and Hines Ward will have a good season, but the Steel Curtain will be more of a rusty one this year.

To Morgan:

Yeah, they're big, but they are horrible! Parker is fast and he willl get those big plays, but it won't help out Roethlisberger.

I am going with 11-5 and a division tittle. I think that the Steelers are very talented and can make it far in the playoffs. I expect Ben Roethlisberger to have a great year. With a new offensive coordinator I expect the Steelers to spread the field out and us 3 and maybe even 4 wide receiver sets regularly. When the Steelers spread out the field it will set up the running game. So I expect Willie Parker to have another good season. The player that I think that will have a breakout season is Santino Holmes. He will have a huge break out season. Also, last year I believed the Cowher did not do a good job. It seemed like his whole heart was not in it. However I believe that Tomlins' will be it in. The Steelers showed good signs at their first game. And I expect them to have a great year. I think they will be the fourth seed and lose in the second round of the playoffs. But they will be crowned the champions for Super Bowl 43.

8-8 or 9-7 and miss the playoffs by a game or so. I just see the Ravens winning that division and the Bengals being stronger then the Steelers as well. Tomlin will turn out to be a good coach, I feel, but this year will be his sorting out year. Next year, I'd look for them to return to the playoffs.

All of this is coming from a non-Steelers fan, but I have to speak the facts. They have some players, love or hate the team, gotta admit that they're still pretty dang good.

8-8 or 9-7 sounds about right. They will just miss the Wildcard and no playoffs, but within 2 or 3 years will be top notch again. I would say they could make the Wildcard but there is a lot more competition for the Wildcard than for the division title. I think the Jets will be 1 of the Wildcard teams...so that leaves 1 spot open.

They looked pretty good in their first game. I know it was only preseason and Big Ben only threw 5 passes, but he completed 3 of them for 76 yards. That's a 25 yard per completion average, pretty damn good I thought. It looks like they're on the same page with new head coach Mike Tomlin. They didn't have Willie Parker, but once he's healthy again they'll have a great 1-2 or even 1-2-3 punch with Parker, Davenport and Barlow. Their defense looked good, even though the Saints' starters didn't play much. All in all it looks hopeful, Ben seems to be 100% and not as gun shy as last year and they seem more disciplined under Tomlin, but like I said it's only been one preseason game. We'll see how they react to turnovers and mistakes. It's too early to predict anything, but I'm hoping for a playoff berth after a disappointing season last year.

Wow that is a tough one. They had a great looking camp, but they play in the North. They will Probably split with the Bengals, should sweep the Browns, and might win one against the Ravens. So thats 3-4 wins in their own division. Iforget what the rest of the schedule looks like, but I remember after schedules were released thinking they should at least pull 8-9 wins.
Really I think the bigger concern is whether Coach Lambaeu Jr., I mean Tomlin wears them out with his ridiculous practice schedule. No one does that many weeks of two a days anymore, so I wonder what he is trying to prove. He should take a note form thgreat, recently passed, but still dearly loved and missed Bill Walsh, who never treated his players like pack animals. I know Pitttsburg is all about the SmashMouth, but looking tough in practice means nothing if he wears them out before the season ends.
Anyway, if they do many not to get whitlled away, I look at them as a potential wild card, but unless Cincy totally blows it, the North should finish-Ravens, Bengals, Steelers, Browns.
So there you go. Probably 9 wins, but with a little TLC, and some stupidity on the part of their opponents, maybe 10 wins and a wild card berth.

They are looking better this year. The only problem I see is a new coach. Still they have the team to win 11-12 games this year. AFC is tough and it's going to be hard to get to the superbowl. They'll lose in the playoff probably the first round if they get there.

They will probably be 8 and 8, or 9 and 7. It will be a tough year but they are still the Steelers.

They will be tied with the Ravens at 11-5 for the Division title, and it will come down to tie-breakers to decide who gets the division and who gets the wild-card. Big Ben will be back into superbowl mode, and the Steelers will go far whether they are a wild-card of division champion. Superbowl?? Possible, but not likely. 30% Chance of winning the superbowl. 50% Chance to win their division, 70% Chance to get a wild-card, 90% chance to have a winning record.

I would have to agree with most and say 8-8 and with the way the AFC is the only way to secure a playoff spot is to when your division and I don't see an 8-8 record getting into the playoffs in the AFC.

9-7. miss playoffs. In the AFC this year I think anything under 10-6 and you'll be home for the holidays. I'll even give you my AFC division champion predictions. East NY Jets; North Cinti Bengals; South Indianapolis Colts; West SD Chargers.
