Im in 7th grade. I dont excactly like all those pixie farie goth princess stuff. Or the pop stars and that. I do like clever, funny costume ideas, and people from the 50s 60s 70s and 80s. If it can be a homemade costume, thats ok just list the things ill need. Thanks!

Get a box and go as a box of popcorn. Seriously I saw a picture of this costume once and it really looked like a box of popcorn from the movies with the red and white box. Can't remember what they used for the popcorn though. Lets face it...nobody else would have that costume!!
Another thing you could go as is a pumpkin. My daughter once wore a big orange sack around her that she tied at the neck. It was make of a felt like material. She stuffed it with newspaper and looked just like a fat old pumpkin. She also made some kind of hat so it looked like the top of the pumpkin.

Do you like a Gypsy costume? I always enjoy doing that. A typical 50s era teenagers would be fun. Look: hair in a ponytail with a scarf tied around it, pullover sweater set, a full circle swinging skirt with decoration on it, white ankle sox and oxford shoes.

The coolest costume I've ever seen was a woman dressed as Marilyn Monroe from an Andy Warhol painting. She had the white dress, lime colored Marilyn Monroe wig and painted herself light purple.

Why don't go as Lindsey Lohan. Just get a really nasty red wig and don't bother wearing any underwear, have a cigarette constantly hanging out of your mouth, get really drunk even though you are still under age and snort cocaine all night even though it is illegal but hey you are a "celebrity", drive over people, get your appendix out whilst still drunk, diss your Dad in public and at the end of the night you can get arrested and then go to rehab for 5 minutes the next day before doing it all over again....!

I think one of the best cotumes that you can make on your own is a gypsy. You can just grab a long skit, shirt, and some accesories, and jewelery, maybe some fortune telling cards.

A Tootsie Roll--get creative with a sheet
Cher--long hair (wig) if your hair is short and a mini dress
A Christmas Tree-someone actually did this one year at a club I was at and won first place, all he did was wrap a string of lights around himself and plugged it in. Personally, I didn't think he should win, but he did.

Just go around with a paperbag over your head. Cut two holes for the eyes and draw a mouth. It's simple and only takes a minute or two.
