Nothing beats the battle in the mines of Moira. Just the pacing of the scene and Gandolf's big "You shall not pass" line. It all gives me chills.

FOTR: the first sight of the full majesty of the Argonath.
TTT: Gandalf leading the Rohirrim down the mountain at Helm's Deep (and the music is spine-tingling).
ROTK: Aragorn leading the Army of the Dead off the pirate ship in Osgiliath - what an iconic image!

Well, in terms of action...Helm's Deep for me.
But for best overall, it's either the scene where Elrond tells Arwen her future, or when she sees that she'll have a son with Aragorn. I love the effect of these two scenes - even though she knows how she'll die, she also knows she'll find a happiness that can replace immortality, and so she turns back to be with Aragorn, giving up her place in the Gray Havens. That's the strength many of us long for as we trudge through our own lives, and it's a difference from the books that I truly love.

Fellowship of the Ring: Pretty much the entire scene in Moria
Two Towers: When Pippin Sings, showing the fighting scene
Return of the King: When Legolas takes down the elephant by himself on the battlefield. Very Sexy!

The opening of the movie after the film name appears: the scenery, music, special effects between Frodo and Gandalf showed me that Peter Jackson has already made a classic!!!

oh yea i agree with you!the charge is briliant and the music is so emotive! but i love two scenes, when the orks are standing at the bay waiting for the mercinaroes from the south to come off theboats and legolas, gimlie and arogorn jump off the ship instaed and all the dead souls pile pff and kill everything they see! it was brilliant and it marks the turn around for that scene its brill, i also love wen the mount doom collapses and they all shout frodo cuz they are so happy, but dont realsie he is still alive and think he is dead and the look of joy runs off their faces they played their oles amazingly well in that scene i think it made me cry too!

The scene where the new king and everyone bow down the the hobbits. After it is all done. My favorite line out of the trilogy is in that scene, "My friends, you bow down to no one." Then he bows down and so do all the people. That is my favorite scene of all and favorite line of the trilogy.
(Great question. It is interesting to see what others favorite scene is to.)

I have to agree with the person that chose the part in which Pippin is singing and you can see scenes from the hopeless battle in Osgiliath. It was a very dramatic scene.
